FlexCademy's reviewed data model is organized around the tennis-academy season: applications feed students into groups linked to trainers, locations, courts, schedules, future sessions, camps, invoices, communication, and distinct role areas. Application inputs can include location, availability, frequency, group-size and one-to-one preferences, level information, and configured answers.[F01][F02][F03]
Fairgate starts from the wider club or association. Its official pages connect configurable contact and membership data to teams, households, finance, documents, sponsors, communication, courses and events, an intranet, a CMS, and availio reservations. That broader scope is material for a club office managing members, committees, accounting, and facilities beyond a tennis school.[C01][C02][C03][C04][C05][C07][C08][C09]
Fairgate's course and event module is substantive: it documents single and recurring events, multi-date events, sequential courses, deadlines, participant limits, configurable forms and notifications, optional extras, participant and presenter areas, public or internal publishing, finance linkage, and a Pro waitlist. The inspected pages do not map those general tools to tennis-level matching, trainer and court constraints, or editable academy group proposals.[C04]
FlexCademy provides that academy-specific planning layer. An owner initiates an AI run for an empty season and location; the implementation validates student, trainer, court, level, age, time, overlap, and coverage constraints before applying groups, which remain editable. This is not a promise of optimal output or pre-application approval.[F01][F02]
Camp workflows also need a like-for-like demonstration. FlexCademy implements application deadlines, capacity, paid confirmation, and a waitlisted set based on paid application order. Fairgate documents participant limits and a Pro event waitlist, and availio lists freely definable training and camp booking types, but the inspected sources do not specify the same camp confirmation and waitlist ordering.[F01][C03][C04]
Fairgate has the broader documented court-rental workflow through availio. Members and guests can use a WebApp to reserve and cancel courts, add playing partners, and view bookings. Administrators can configure seasons, opening hours, quotas, locations, user-group rules, booking durations, maintenance blocks, guest rules, one-off or recurring bookings, and reports.[C03]
Paid reservations can vary by court, user group, weekday, time, guest status, and early or late booking. Fairgate says invoices and accounting entries can be created through its finance module, with invoice, TWINT, debit or credit card, and cash payment paths. These capabilities favor a club monetizing public or member court inventory.[C03][C05]
FlexCademy's online booking is narrower: an enrolled student can choose an available trainer, receive a quote, and confirm an eligible released training slot. Its court model otherwise supports academy groups, locations, trainers, recurring sessions, attendance, and replacement checks; this comparison does not portray it as a general public court marketplace.[F01][F02][F03]
Member and family records are strong but differently framed. FlexCademy lets one user account manage multiple student profiles in a browser-based family area. Fairgate documents configurable contact fields, memberships, teams, household links, shared family invoices, parent copies, and parent access to child records through its intranet.[F03][C02][C08]
Fairgate also documents Swiss Tennis licence ordering, suspension, and deletion in its contact administration, plus an availio API for reservation-linked light, access, and heating systems and a BookingStation. FlexCademy's reviewed implementation stores J+S-related profile data and attendance records but does not establish automatic J+S submission, Swiss Tennis licence administration, facility control, or a kiosk.[C03][C10][F01][F06]
Both products document Swiss invoice workflows. FlexCademy implements invoices and installment chains, eligible Swiss QR bills, CAMT.054 matching, reminders, credits and refunds, and configured Stripe checkout with eligible TWINT, card, and SEPA debit methods. Conditions apply, and FlexCademy is not presented as regulated accounting software.[F01][F02]
Fairgate goes further into general club bookkeeping. Its finance page lists individual, bulk, recurring, family, course, and event invoices; QR and eBill delivery; reminders and credits; CAMT.052, .053, and .054 matching; income statements and balance sheets; VAT handling; cost centers; configurable accounts; split postings; and accounting exports. An academy needing a general ledger should assess Fairgate's finance scope directly with its treasurer or adviser.[C05]
Payment models overlap but are not identical. Fairgate's Instant Payment page connects online TWINT and debit or credit cards to membership forms, events, documents, and its bookkeeping, while availio adds invoice and cash choices for reservations. FlexCademy uses configured Stripe checkout for eligible TWINT, card, and SEPA debit payments and implements Stripe refunds under workflow conditions. Processor eligibility, fees, payout structure, and refund rules should be quoted and tested for the intended transactions.[C03][C05][C06][F01][F02]
Fairgate publishes the wider communication-channel set: email, newsletters, SMS, postal merge, certificates, target filters, scheduling, open and bounce data, and parent copies; event templates add invitations and reminders. FlexCademy's verified communication includes targeted email newsletters with delivery state, schedule and application emails, training reminders, and invoice reminders, but not SMS.[C04][C07][F01]
Both products can support a public and authenticated web experience. FlexCademy includes a multilingual academy site for seasons, camps, registration, products, cart, checkout, and contact plus browser-based role areas. Fairgate offers a multilingual responsive CMS that can publish contact, sponsor, newsletter, and event content, alongside a configurable intranet for members, parents, teams, group administrators, documents, forums, and invoices.[F01][F03][C08][C09]
FlexCademy publishes Starter at CHF 149 per month plus CHF 490 onboarding and Academy Pro at CHF 349 per month plus CHF 990 onboarding; Custom is discussed separately. The public pricing page does not state tax treatment or billing commitment, so neither is assumed.[F04]
Fairgate does not publish one full-suite amount on its offer page. It says an individual quote is based on the organization's needs, requested functions, and contact volume. This means a meaningful comparison must specify membership, finance, communication, event, CMS, intranet, support, and court-reservation requirements rather than compare FlexCademy's subscription with one Fairgate module.[C11]
availio is an exception with public module pricing: the page lists a CHF 90 base fee for 2026 and, from 2027, CHF 90 per year including one court plus CHF 50 per additional court. It also lists separate 2026 new-customer bundles, a CHF 90 optional initial setup, and 3.9% plus CHF 0.30 per paid-booking transaction. These time-limited and module-specific amounts require a current written quote and do not establish the total Fairgate cost.[C03]
Fairgate publishes weekday phone hours, says written support is usually answered within 24 hours on working days, links a handbook and videos, and offers consultation, training, and setup packages. FlexCademy publishes onboarding paths and offers a personal workflow-based demo.
